About Psalms Read

The Story Behind this Space

Welcome to Psalms Read. I’m so glad you’re here.

Every day, we are bombarded by a beautifully packaged spiritual culture. If you open your social media feeds or chat with friends, it doesn’t take long to find them: shimmering crystals meant to protect your home, manifestation techniques promising to unlock your dream life, tarot layouts offering hidden guidance, and astrology charts explaining your destiny.

From the outside, it looks peaceful. It looks empowering. And if I’m being completely honest, there have been many times when I’ve looked at those trends and felt the temptation to try them. When life gets chaotic or the future feels uncertain, the promise of quick comfort and control over your own energy is a powerful pull.

But every single time I feel that pull, the Holy Spirit gently draws my heart back to the only true Anchor of my soul: Jesus Christ.

I didn’t start Psalms Read because I am a former New Age practitioner with a dramatic rescue story. I started this site as an everyday believer who has walked with Christ for more than 30 years and who sees how many people, whether they follow Christ or are simply searching for meaning, feel the pull of cultural spirituality.

When the world tells us to look to the alignment of the stars, the power of a mineral, or the hidden knowledge of a deck of cards, God calls us to look directly at Him.

That is why I fell in love with the Psalms. The book of Psalms doesn't offer superficial positive vibes or manifest destiny. It offers raw, honest, and unfiltered reality. It shows us how to face deep fear, overwhelming anxiety, and spiritual darkness, not by manipulating cosmic energy, but by resting securely in the hands of a sovereign God.

You don't have to carry the exhausting burden of protecting your own aura or manifesting your own future as the world offers. God never called you to create your own light. Instead, He promises to be your light.

Psalms Read was created to help Christians stay rooted in Scripture and to welcome anyone who’s wrestling with the spiritual confusion of our age into a space where God’s Word brings clarity, beauty, and hope.

So, whether you come as a longtime follower of Christ or as someone simply searching for something real, I invite you to journey through the Psalms with me. Here, we let Scripture cut through the noise and lead us back to the God who still speaks.

In Christ,
